To open things up, I’m going to deal with a question some of you might be asking yourselves right now: ”
Why should I have a website?"
There are many reasons to have your own website, whether you’re running a business, promoting a charity, or even looking to carve out a little bit of personal space. In fact, I would go so far as to replace that question with an even better one:
“Why
shouldn’t
I have a website?”
In today’s day and age, information is as valuable as (and often
is
) currency, and technology is the means of moving that information around. A website accomplishes the same thing as an ad in the newspaper, except it has the power to span the entire globe. It’s available 24/7 and can be updated on the fly, so potential clients and customers can find the information they need when they need it, and all from the comfort of their own home.
Best of all? All of this is possible at a fraction of the cost of print advertisements.
So for those of you who aren't already there, consider this your invitation to join the World Wide Web.
